You can add new shifts to your schedule at any time. Each shift includes a date, time, and volunteer roles. Follow the steps below to set one up.

  1. Open your schedule
  2. Click “New shift" to create your first shift, or "+ Create another shift" to add a shift.

  3. Set shift details

    • Date: Choose the shift date.

    • Start and end times: Pick from the dropdown or type in exact times for more precision.

    • Repeat (optional): If the shift repeats, choose the repeat pattern and optionally set start/end dates.

    • Location (optional): Add a location if needed.

    • Jobs needed for this shift: If the job that you need is not in the list of jobs (or if no jobs have been created yet), you can use the "+ Add another job" link to create a new job.

Tips

  • Typing times directly gives you more flexibility than the dropdown.

  • Use repeat settings to save time when creating recurring shifts. These will also be added to future schedules if no end date is set.

  • If volunteers arrive or leave at different times, consider creating multiple shifts with the specified jobs at each Shift.
